Very Small Nanking Cherries13 viewsThese Nanking Cherries did not get very large this year. This season has been very dry. We think that's why the cherries were so small this year. The scale on the tape measure is inches.Wolfegar

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie4 viewsStrawberry Rhubarb Pie taken with flash.

This pie was very good! Here's the recipe:

Recipe for Strawberry Rhubarb pie is simple.

3 cups rhubarb cut into small bites about 1/2 inch pieces
2 cups sliced strawberries
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup flour
3 eggs
2 tablespoons butter
pie crust for 10 inch pie
sweet crumbs/crushed cookies or other pie topping

Mix sugar salt and flour add to diced rhubarb and strawberries.
Beat eggs and add to mix
fill unbaked pie shell with mix and dot with butter.
Top with another crust or with crushed cookie crumbs and strawberry slices in a pattern (like Tanje did in the picture).
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes then reduce temp to 350 and bake for 30 minutes longer.
